December 3, 2010 Grave Matters Lynch Cemetery

Yesterday I concentrated on the family of Susan Lynch Dearing Ward and Robert Henry Ward and today I will continue.  Below I have attached two remaining grave markers that I found in the Lynch Cemetery for her family.  They had nine children and I found grave markers for eight of those children at the Lynch Cemetery.  The only marker that was not there was the marker for Anselm Lynch Ward.  Anselm Ward was born on January 16, 1873.  He married Nathalie Floyd Otey on May 16, 1894.  He was educated at Washington and Lee University.  He was in the lumber business and resided in Lynchburg, Virginia at 903 Wise Street.   He is buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia.  He died on May 3, 1944.

Comment about yesterday's blog on when Susan Lynch Dearing Ward lived in North Carolina.  I believe that it was a matter of interpreting his writing.  He didn't mean after her marriage as in the marriage was over, but after she married they went to North Carolina for a while.  At this time, I can't be sure about the dates or where they lived in Altavista in their later years.
